In a world where many boys and men have lost their way, I believe we must deepen the conversation about what constitutes healthy masculinity and a life of meaning – even thriving – for men.
The ongoing war against masculinity is misguided at best, intentionally draconian at worst, and has had a devastating impact on our culture, leading to an epidemic of depression, loneliness, cynicism, suicide.
And where men hurt, women hurt (and vice versa).
Our technocratic class, championed by public intellectuals such as Yuval Noah Harari, are at the forefront of the transhumanist agenda that is at the root of this war on gender and all things natural.
Their vision of the future is one where humans live in pods, eat bugs, have brain implants and cybernetic enhancements, and it is so unappealing to embodied, soulful, natural people that we will not accept it. It goes to reason that this is why we are facing a hard push in our culture to make us disembodied, soulless and unnatural.
In my estimation, the gender wars and trans-agenda are symptoms of this transhumanist grooming campaign.
What is the path forwards?
To find our way, we will have to deepen in our connection with that which is spiritual, and that which is natural. One such thing is biology and innate gender expressions. There are natural variations between us, but they follow a general trend:
We men like to face and conquer challenges.
We like to master new things, and bring order to chaos.
We like to build boundaries around things, and then enjoy protecting them.
We like to penetrate things which are closed so that they open.
We like to live lives of service, when the cause is meaningful
etc
These are innate biological wirings that cannot be removed through cultural narratives about “toxic masculinity”, and for most men, re-embracing these qualities is massively vitalizing and empowering.
That said, the man of the future is more than simply a re-embrace of the man of the past. He’s more nuanced, more profound. More beholden to truth than to appearances.
I want to speak about this man. I want to discover him and embody him.
For at the end of the day, most women suffer in their masculine lives, and most men suffer when stuck in swirly feminine emotions.
To encourage women to be feminine, we men must dare to be masculine. And that means daring to defy the life-denying, unnatural narratives and impulses of our increasingly transhumanist culture.
It requires courage and deep commitment to discovering who we truly are.
